Official says railway cargo shipments from China rise gradually

MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) – Shipments from China by railway is growing gradually, Russian Railways First Deputy CEO Vadim Mikhailov said at a briefing late on Tuesday.

“The Chinese economy is gradually starting to recover. Shipments from the companies that ended their vacations is growing. If we look at the statistics for this week, shipments from China have continued to rise,” Mikhailov said.

He said that some of the railway traffic rise was caused by difficulties in sea transportation.
